5 Fabulous Reasons To Decorate With Wall Paper

July 31, 2016 By Debbie Palic

Wall paper has come a long way since the 1960’s, as the choice is extensive and the quality has dramatically improved.

If you want to personalise your home and add a ‘wow factor’ to your rooms here are 5 reasons to consider when decorating with wall paper.

(1) Wall paper will add ‘style’ to your room.

For example this wall paper from Porters Paints creates an elegant French charm to this room. This design would be suitable for a bedroom or living room, especially if it has antique furniture.

(2) Wall paper will enhance the ‘mood’ of a room.

This nursery has been enhanced with the use of this pretty wall paper. As the butterfly design with a powder blue background creates a calm and whimsical feel to the room.

(3) Wall paper will add ‘interest’ to your room.

This lively wall paper from Evershine, resembles an abstract painting. It would make a great feature wall and add a dynamic feel to a contemporary living room.

(4) Wall paper can make a room ‘feel bigger’

If you wish to make a room feel bigger, consider using a bold geometric designed wall paper or a landscape design which has perspective.

(5) Wall paper can create a ‘theme’ for a room.

For instance, if your child loves reptiles consider a wall paper with this theme. If your teenager loves to travel consider a wall paper with a postcard design or a landscape photo of some where they have been. The possibilities are endless and can even be custom made to suit your personal taste.
