My Latest finds at Design Build 2017

July 27, 2017 By Debbie Palic

One great way of keeping up to date with new interior products is to attend the annual Sydney Design Build. This year it was held at the brand new ICC at Darling Harbour and f you have a chance it is well worth visiting. At this expo designers, architects, builders, and the construction community come together under one roof.

The following exhibitors stood out to me as they displayed original interior products that I can use for my clients homes.

Maxiplywood

This company produces premium plywood for indoor and out door use. I was amazed by there extensive range of products and how diverse they are. As maxi plywood can be used for furniture, cabinetry, for wall, floor and ceiling panels. I believe that plywood has come along way and can look great in any contemporary interior scheme.

Cooper Store

The Cooper store was established in 1985 by Vaughan Cooper. They specialise in creating beautiful, handcrafted furniture and products using new and recycled hardwood timbers. They create bespoke kitchen benchtops, bathroom vanities, front doors and furniture. On display they had a gorgeous bathroom vanity made from chestnut with a microcement top. They also displayed a contemporary dining setting made of an American oak top and a white powder coated steel base.

Landscape Screens

This company manufacture decorative laser cut metal screens and are suitable for indoor and outdoor use. On display they had a variety of screen designs and all of their range can be customised to suit your individual needs. There screens can be used for balcony balustrades, as privacy screens, garden screens, as room dividers and for gates. I really loved the bronze coloured screen in the Summer Daze Design and I would most definetly use it as a feature in a garden.
