The clients brief was to update an original Californian Bungalow with an open planned kitchen and living area. This newly renovated home now has a charming eclectic appeal and has old and new interior features. The original doors and skirting have been restored and has new shadow line ceilings and blackbutt flooring. The client and her family are enjoying their open planned living area as it meets their love of cooking and entertaining. The kitchen has a warm, contemporary feel with wood veneer cabinets and a light coloured stone bench top. The dining area has a customised buffet which defines this space. The lounge area is spacious and overlooks the pretty courtyard. A neutral colour scheme was chosen for this area to complement the client’s large abstract painting and home furnishings.
