I belong to the KBDI community, that is the Kitchen and Bathroom Designers Institute, an association dedicated to the highest standards of design and business practice in these specialised areas of home design.

As a member of this organisation, I enjoy monthly educational and networking evenings. Last month, we visited Smeg’s newest showroom at Alexandria and were informed on their latest kitchen appliances. A representative from Talostone introduced their beautiful range of man engineered stone.

This month, the KBDI gave me the opportunity to provide kitchen and bathroom advice at the Sydney Home Show. This was a wonderful opportunity to assist the public with there exciting renovation plans.

I maintain my professional kitchen and bathroom design skills by attending KBDI’s regular seminars and courses that are provided by Designer Training Australia.

Next year I plan to submit one of my designs to the KBDI’s annual awards program. As this is a great opportunity to be recognised as a professional kitchen and bathroom designer and secondly, a great way to grow my design practice and meet more wonderful clients.
